I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalms 139:14
You are more amazing than you probably realize! Yes, when God created the earth and man, the angels rejoiced (Job 38:7). They realized that we were a stunning creation like nothing ever seen before! Do you realize that Satan is jealous of you? That is right, he is jealous of you. Think about it for a moment, man is the only creature that can operate in two realms. You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. As a follower of Christ, we are a spirit that also have the privilege of operating in the physical realm. The Bible states that we are risen with Him and that we are seated with Him in heavenly places (Colossians 2:12 and Ephesians 2:6). We operate spiritually by believing the word of God and not fashioning our lives based only on our five physical senses (what we see, hear, feel, smell, and taste). We also have the honor of enjoying creation and the loved ones God has placed in our lives based on our flesh and our five physical senses. We live in the physical realm but operate as spiritual beings. Many theologians have stated that Adam was originally a spiritual man that had a physical body.
This should not surprise us because Jesus was a spiritual man that also possessed a physical body. God Himself had the experience of being both fully man and fully Spirit. God has granted us the power of His very own Spirit (the Holy Spirit) and granted us authority to use that power in this physical realm (Luke 9:1). Our authority comes by virtue of the fact that we have physical bodies. That is the reason God Himself came to this earth in a physical body to have the authority to use His power! Satan again has never had the privilege of having a physical body and is limited to the spiritual realm. Even with that, his powers have been stripped by Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection on the cross (Colossians 2:15)! Satan now has no power or legal right to operate in this physical realm, which is the reason he influences people to fulfill his desires through deception and seeks to trick us into forfeiting the promises of God by waging war in our minds. Jesus said Satan was “a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44). You do not have to fall prey to his lies that your relationship will never improve, that you will always be broke, that your health will never get better, that you have made too many mistakes, or that you are too old to fulfill God’s purpose and destiny for your life because “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Do not take your life on this earth and the privilege of this time you have been allowed to have a physical body for granted. Go out today knowing that you are wonderful and exercising the dominion God has given you!
