Your Origins Are In Christ!

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. (Ephesians 1:4 NLT)
So often, we feel like our roots are based on our ethnicity or the family we were raised in.  We base our identity in this background and based on our past experiences growing up in these groups.  Our origins do not derive from our ethnicity or family background but they are in Christ!  In fact, our origins were in Him before the foundation of the world!  At that point He chose us to be holy and blameless in His sight (Ephesians 1:14 NIV).  Since God sits outside of time in eternity, the “fall of man” was of no consequence to Him.  He saw the work of redemption and the finished work of the cross as a done deal (John 19:30).  Consequently, our origins from eternities past is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).  Regardless of what you may have done in your past or what family you come from your origins are in the Lord so you are royalty on today (Revelation 1:6)!
