What Is Your Assignment?

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.  Romans 11:29 

God’s purpose for us is not to work or “toil” for a living but to work or “utilize our gifts” based on our assignment here on earth.  Consequently, don’t be afraid to step out and operate in what you are passionate about doing!  Everything created in the universe performs its assignment effortlessly.  The sun does not toil to radiate energy and heat and the sea does not struggle to produce waves.  They do not toil or struggle to perform their respective assignments because they are gifted to radiate energy/heat and produce waves!  That is the reason the Bible says, “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men” (Proverbs 18:16).  You will never reach a level of greatness until you are operating in the thing which you were born to do and accomplish!  Also notice that the preceding verse does not state that a man’s toil or works will make room for him. We are not working for a living but using our gifts to fulfill God’s purpose or assignment for our lives.  Once we operate in our gifts to fulfill God’s assignment, He will supply every other thing we need!
