Turbulence

​Let us pass over unto the other side.  Mark 4:35

I recently took a flight overseas and then returned after about a week to the United States.  Our plane encountered quite a bit of turbulence during one leg of the journey but ultimately arrived at our destination just fine!  Similarly, God has placed dreams and promises in each of our hearts as Born Again Believers and sometimes we encounter some bumps in the road on the way to fulfillment of the dream.  Although we may encounter challenges and difficulties along the way enroute to the dreams and promises that God has placed in our hearts, we are guaranteed by God to reach our destination just fine.  In Mark 4:35, Jesus told His disciples, that they all were going to cross over from one side of the sea in a boat to the other side but a storm subsequently arose in verse 37 as they began to cross over.  Since Jesus is God, of course He knows all things.  He knew a storm would arise after He told them "let us pass over unto the other side" or gave them the promise.  Jesus however was not focused on the storm.  His focus was on the destination or fulfillment of the promise.  Consequently, the Bible records, "they arrived at the other side of the lake" (Mark 5:1 NLT).  What situation in your life looks stormy or turbulent on today?  Go back to the original promise that God has spoken to your heart hours, days, months, or even years ago!  Although you may encounter storms or turbulence, God will bring His promises to pass in your life and you will reach your destination just fine!
