Trust In God

3/3/2013

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in God does not always require answers.  In fact, it requires no answers.  Trusting implies a position of rest.  A trusting individual denotes one who is not running around trying to figure everything out or trying to make things work in their own strength.  It is resting in the strength, power, ability, and wisdom of God.  Notice in Hebrews 3:11, God said he swore in His wrath that the Children of Israel would “not enter into” His rest.  They did not enter into His rest because they refused to trust Him.  Consequently, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.  If you are in turmoil in any area of your life today, remember that Jesus encourages you to “come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
