true faith

For the king trusts in the Lord.  The unfailing love of the Most High will keep him from stumbling (Psalm 21:7 NLT).

Faith is not something we conjure up in our own ability or something we boast of having as a result of our religious activities.  True faith is simply trusting in God's love for us!  In today's Psalm, David trusted in God's unfailing love (Psalm 21:7)!  Abraham also trusted in God and not his own ability.  Genesis 15:6 states that "Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith."  We do not live by our own faith but the faith that God supplies.  In fact, the Bible states that we "live by the faith of the Son of God" (Galatians 2:20).  As we read the Bible we should simply be uncovering the depth of God's love for us and what He has already supplied for us when He said it was finished on the cross (John 19:30).  Put your trust in God's unfailing love and you will be walking in true faith to receive His promises!
