TOTAL RELEASE!

It is very important for us to release our cares to the Lord!  Sometimes we feel that if we release our cares to God, that things will not get done.  We may even feel a bit condemned about being in the situation in the first place.  How will we get that job we want if we don’t obsess over it, how will we get the spouse we want if we don’t plot and plan to get them, or how will people like us if we don’t try to impress them?  Quite frankly, total release can feel a bit irresponsible.  That is what the enemy (Satan) would have you to think anyway; that you have to do something or at least think about the problem in order to be responsible.  Total release is trusting God to take care of the situation and not even thinking about it any longer.  The Bible admonishes us to look “unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2), not our challenges.  God wants us to cast our cares on Him and go on and enjoy our lives.  After all, Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).  Pray that God will help you to release the situation to Him and not to think worried thoughts about it any longer!
