The Rhema Word

God's word is the source of His power!  His word is also the source of power in our lives.  The "word" referred to here is not necessarily God's written word but His personalized word to you regarding your situation.  It is noted in 1 John 5:4 that "this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."  It has been stated that faith begins where the will of God is known.  We know God's will based on the word He has spoken to us not only through His written word, but to our spirits.  For example, a person that desires promotion at work can stand in faith for it if God has spoken to their spirit that He will ensure their promotion.  Romans 8:14 declares that those who are led by the Spirit of God "are the sons of God."  Relying on God's word spoken to your spirit allows you to receive the  promises of God by faith, operate in faith like your Heavenly Father, and inherit what your Father desires for you to have as a true son or daughter.
