For thou hast magnified thy word above thy name. Psalm 138:2
There is power in the name of Jesus! That goes without saying. But there is also power in the word of God. Hebrews 1:3 says that God is “upholding all things by the word of his power.” This means that God’s word is the source of His power. When God says something, He is committed to it. Before a word that God speaks should fail, He says that heaven and earth would pass away (Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, and Luke 21:33). All of God’s promises to you concerning healing, prosperity, wholeness, peace, deliverance, and promotion are true! Although God’s name is perfect and wonderful, today’s verse of Scripture in Psalm 138:2 says that He has magnified His word above His name. If God’s word is this important and infallible, then we should esteem it above anything else in our lives. Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4 says that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God. Allow God’s word to become first place in your life. You are surely to see great results!
