Stealing an Image

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet.  For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him.  Hebrews 2:7-8

Glory to God!  God has put all things under the subjection of man.  That means, once you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have authority over all adverse situations and circumstances.  Sickness, cancer, lack, depression, and emotional turmoil are all subject to you and must flee at your command!  James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  It is also written in Philippians 2:10 that “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”  That means when we utilize the name of Jesus (which means to act using the authority He has given us), every negative situation and circumstance must leave.  The only thing that will prevent the negative situation(s) from leaving is a lack of the appropriate image.  We must see ourselves the way God portrays us in today’s Scripture; crowned with glory and honor, set over all the works of God’s hands, with ALL THINGS in subjection to us!  There are a few things that can steal this proper image from us including persecution, ignorance, and general low self-esteem.  We will talk more about persecution, ignorance, and low self-esteem stealing the proper image the remainder of this week.  If you want to have the appropriate image and the authority we have discussed, but have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, make this statement after me.  Jesus I believe in you, believe you were raised from the dead, receive you, and ask you into my heart!  Once you have accepted Christ and meditate on the conqueror you are, nothing will be impossible for you to accomplish!
