Set Your Affections Upon God

But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness.  Matthew 6:33

There has been much made about how to confess to possess, sowing to receive, and other doctrines in the Body of Christ in order to see the prosperity of God manifest in our lives.  And while there is some truth in those doctrines, we must not forget one foundational truth.  We can see the fullness of God manifested in our lives simply for seeking Him for who He is.  We are to seek a deep and meaningful relationship with God solely because He deserves it, it is the deepest longing of the human heart, and simply because it is the right thing to do.  God is not a man or a human that can be compared to another person.  He is God.  He deserves all our adoration, affection, and heart.  The amazing thing about God is that as we give Him all of us, He will bestow all His good and perfect gifts on us because the Bible is clear that as we delight in Him He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalms 37:4).  Let us examine our motives on today and seek Him because He deserves it!
