Right Thinking = Right Living

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.  Proverbs 23:7
 
The key to victory in the Christian life is correct thinking and aligning our thoughts with what God says about us in His Word.  We must allow God to transform our thinking!  While it is important to speak in line with God’s Word, to have strong faith, and utilize many other Biblical principles in order to be a victorious Christian, victory begins with the way we think.  The victorious life is one that is free of sickness, financial lack, divisions in relationships, and emotional and mental turmoil.  You will have and live a lifestyle based on what you think about!  It’s very simple.  What God says must be the final authority in our lives and not what other people may say or even what the world may say!  You cannot expect to live a life of victory without thinking the right thoughts.  What kind of thoughts should we have then?  The Bible admonishes us, “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).  We must read God’s Word in order to get it rooted deep in our heart to think the right things.  Psalms 119:11 states, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”  Most importantly though, “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think” (Romans 12:2).  Plant God’s Word deep in your heart and allow Him to transform the way you think!
