Relinquishing Control

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28

God’s plan for your life is good!  He knew every decision that you would make long before the world began, good and bad. Despite the bad decisions you might make, God has promised to work all things together for your good.  That is good news!  Although God has given us free will, He knew every decision we would make in advance and orchestrated events in our lives to play out in such a manner that they would ultimately work together for
our good. 
 
In order to believe and benefit from the fact that God has promised that all things would work together for our good, we must first trust Him.  Proverbs 3:5-6 says to “trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”  In order to trust God, we must understand His infinite love for us.  Ephesians 1:4 states, “Even before he made the world, God loved us” (NLT).  When we understand that we can trust God because of His great love for us, we can also trust that He is working everything out for our good.  Take your hands out of the situation and allow God to work on your behalf!
