For the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it. Genesis 13:15
Throughout this week, we have talked about seeing properly (with your spiritual sight) in order to receive the promises of God. Here is a recap.
-You must first see in your heart all that God has promised. Abram had to first see himself as a father before he received the son promised to him in Genesis 15:2.
-You cannot view the enemy as so much of a factor that you can't receive from God. We must always remember that Satan is a fallen angel and not the reciprocal or opposite of God. God gave authority over this earth to man which is the reason God himself had to come as a man. The only power that the enemy has is the power we give him as we yield to the lies, temptations, and fiery darts that he throws at our minds. His power is displayed as a byproduct of the improper actions we take as we yield to those thoughts.
-You must refuse to settle for less. Romans 8:32, says that "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things."
-You must be willing to receive the promises of God based on the integrity of His Word and your faith and not someone else's negative experiences or even your own past negative experiences! Often people don't receive from God is because they ponder and express their concerns about God not coming through for someone else!
God longs to bless you even more than you want to be blessed! Receive it today!
