Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down (Hebrews 12:1 NLT).
It is what you can let go of that determines how high you can fly, or soar! Often, our ambition in life is not our problem. We have the ambition and skills to be successful! Our issue is not letting go of things, people, and mindsets that no longer serve us in order to soar into the heights of our God given destiny and purpose! The biggest things that we need to let go of in order to fulfill our purpose are people that constantly remind us of our inadequacies and failures and our own self-condemnation over past mistakes. I believe this is the reason the Apostle Paul wrote, “I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead” (Philippians 3:13 NLT)! The only way you can forget your past and soar is to believe that what God has in store for you is so much greater than anything that you’ve experienced up until this point despite your mistakes because where sin abounds, grace super abounds (Romans 5:20). Paul stated that he look forward to what was ahead. He anticipated God’s best for his future! Let go of past toxic associations, limiting belief systems, and “mistakes” and begin to soar!
