how  do  you  see  yourself?

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

Notice that today's verse of Scripture does not say that we are as other people think about us but that we are as we think about ourselves!  Essentially, the opinions of others do not matter!  We are who God says we are and who we think we are, not who others say or think we are!

In the book of Numbers when the 12 spies were sent to spy out the land God promised to give the people of Israel, 10 of the spies bought back a fear filled report to Moses saying that they could not take the land (Numbers 13:28-32).  God had previously stated that He had (past tense) given the people the land.  Nonetheless, the 10 fearful spies in the thirteenth chapter of Numbers said, "And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight" (Numbers 13:33).  These negative thinking spies allowed the way they "thought" people saw them to determine how they felt about themselves.  Again, we are not who people think we are or how we feel people may see us but we are who God says we are.  Remember that God says you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37), you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that you are accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6).  Receive it on today!
