That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life. Romans 5:21
God’s grace is abundant! This is a simple statement but a very profound one. Think about it for a moment, Jesus came to die for our sins. The ultimate objective for Jesus coming to earth was to be crucified, die on the cross, and be raised from the dead for our sins that we might spend eternity with God. As Believers, we not only get to spend eternity with God in heaven but we also have access to a personal relationship with God here and now. The death of Jesus allows us to go behind the veil into the Most Holy Place and not be separated from God (Hebrews 6:19). Jesus not only died on the cross, but took it a step further and provided us an example by his life and taught us to take authority over all adverse situations and circumstances. In 1 John 3:8, the Bible states that “for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” Jesus could have simply came and died for our sins and our eternal salvation would have been secured. Nonetheless, He went above and beyond by teaching us to overcome sickness, lack, and every form of demonic oppression! God’s grace is evident in the teachings and example of Christ and allows us to reign in life!
