god will move heaven and earth

God…will fulfill his purpose for me.  He will send help from heaven to rescue me.
Psalm 57:2-3 (NLT)

God will move heaven and earth to bring to pass what He has promised to do in our lives.  Three times, God reminds us that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” (Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, and Luke 21:33 NKJV)!  We serve an Excellent God!  Before He allows what He has promised us to not come to pass, heaven and earth would cease to exist!  That’s how serious God is about the integrity of His Word.  He has bound Himself with an oath to honor His own Word!  Additionally, when God speaks, all of creation must line up with and heed the voice of the Almighty!  Things become what God says because He is God and that is the reason we can trust the good promises He has spoken to our heart concerning our lives!  In the book of Isaiah the Lord states, “It is the same with my word.  I send it out, and it always produces fruit.  It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it” (Isaiah 55:11 NLT).

The situations in our lives have to become what God says!  Notice that I said “says” and not “said.”  When God speaks His Word or promises for our lives, it is not a one-time past-tense deal!  When God speaks, His Word continues to go forth.  I once heard Bishop T.D. Jakes explain in his sermon entitled NOW that when God said let there be light He really didn’t just say let there be light once and stop but when God said let there be light, He really said, “let there be light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light…” The Bishop went on to say that “the Word continually and perpetually goes out of God’s mouth!”  We can trust that God’s Word is continually at work in our lives.  Jesus explained it when He said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground.  Night and day, while He’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens” (Mark 4:26-27 NLT).  God’s Word is incorruptible seed, always at work in our lives, always producing fruit, and our situations have to line up with the good purpose and plan that the Lord of the Universe has mandated because He is God!
