Freedom from oppression

In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression.  Isaiah 54:14

Are you feeling oppressed on today?  Perhaps you feel oppressed in some manner at work, in reaching the dream God has placed in your heart, or even in your mind!  According to the Dictionary.com, one definition of the term "oppression" is "the feeling of being heavily burdened, mentally or physically, by troubles, adverse conditions, anxiety, etc."  Oppression is essentially a form of extreme mental or emotional pressure to doubt the Word and promises of God!

The Bible has promised that as a born again Believer you shall be far from oppression when you are established in righteousness.  The righteousness you are established in is the righteousness imparted to you by Almighty God!  The Bible calls this righteousness "the gift of righteousness" (Romans 5:17).  This righteousness has nothing to do what your good behavior or bad behavior because it is not earned but a free gift!  You are the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21)!  You do not have to feel oppressed at work feeling that perhaps you have not done enough to earn a promotion because you are righteous and God Himself will see to your promotion (Psalm 75:6)!  Don't worry about not having the "right" credentials to reach the dream God has placed in your heart because you are the righteousness of God and have His favor (Psalm 30:5).  Finally, don't beat yourself up concerning not doing enough to cast down the oppressive thoughts that may come to your mind because you are established in righteousness and God has declared that you have the mind of Christ anyway, although it may not feel like it right now (1 Corinthians 2:16).  Allow God to free you from any oppression you may be experiencing knowing that you are established in His righteousness!
