Forget Your Problems

2/2/2013

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  Isaiah 26:3

Problems, concerns, and headaches are everywhere.  We live in a society that is laden with various problems.  Those problems do not have to affect us as Believers though.  You can actually get to a place where you walk above all your problems.  That place of victory is in God.  In Matthew 14:24, Jesus’ disciples were in a boat in the midst of a storm.  Nonetheless, Jesus came to them walking on top of the storm (problem) and His disciple Peter even walked on the water (Matthew 14:29) until he took his eyes off Jesus, looked at the storm, and began to sink (Matthew 14:30).  As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked over an adverse situation.  In this story of Matthew, we see that Jesus is omnipotent over all adverse situations meaning that we too can be victorious in any situation as long as we focus on Him.  Psalm 91:1 states that “he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”  We can dwell in that secret place by focusing our hearts on the goodness and love of God in prayer and as we read His word.  Abiding under His shadow means that problems get resolved and concerns diminish.  Keep your eyes on Jesus and walk over any adverse situation victorious!
