Feelings or the Word?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance...and they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh. Galatians 5:22-24

How are you "feeling" today?  Sometimes our response to that question someone may ask us could be "I feel good" or "I am not feeling well" depending on what we are presented with during the course of a day.  Feelings can be deceptive and fleeting though.  One moment you may feel very good or be on a high and the next moment you may feel bad or be low.  Regardless of how we feel, we can look at life positively.  God gives us exceeding great and precious promises for a bright future in His Word!  God always speaks to us about our future and not necessarily the negative circumstance we may currently be facing.  When we view the Bible as the legal contract that it is, we can be certain that God will always keep His side of the agreement which provides benefits of a great future for us.  God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).  As such, He's certain to fulfill His promise of healing, prosperity, deliverance, and much more as we fulfill our responsibility to receive those promises through faith and not based on our current feelings/circumstances.  We can display the fruit of the Spirit listed above in Galatians 5:22 despite our feelings.  Crucify the flesh today despite negative feelings and display that fruit of the Spirit that God declares is within you!
