Just This One Thing

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.  Hebrews 12:2

Have you ever felt hindered in praising God and even in enjoying your life?  Most things are alright but there is that one thing that seems to be a persistent nuisance or insurmountable?  It is just that one thing.  If that one particular problem would go away, you would be able to enjoy life to the fullest.  Today's Scripture reference reminds us to look unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith.  The more we look to Him, the less insurmountable our problems seem.  This occurs for a number of reasons.  First, the more we look to Him, the more we realize that everything else is not really all that important anyway.  Also, we realize that in Him lies every solution and the power and ability to overcome any situation or circumstance that we may face.  God challenges us to realize His powerful and omnipotent nature when he asks, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" in Jeremiah 32:27.   There is nothing too hard for God!  That one "problem" is not too hard for God because in Him lies the solution to it.  When thoughts of worry try to arise in your mind regarding it say out loud "I thank you Lord that you are working everything out for my good" and do not allow yourself to meditate on those negative thoughts.  Go ahead and enjoy your life today!
