Don't Even Think Defeat

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.  Proverbs 23:7

One of the keys to success in your life is to simply think that you will be successful!  Often victory or defeat in our lives starts or ends in our minds.  How many people do you know that don’t even try to achieve their dreams because they have already allowed themselves to become defeated in their mind?  Don’t even allow yourself to think thoughts of defeat.  Pastor Andrew Wommack once said that there are some things that he is not even tempted with because he has never allowed himself to think about them in his mind.  You cannot be tempted with what you have not thought about.  You cannot be tempted with sickness if you have not meditated on being sick, you cannot be tempted with lack if you have not allowed yourself to think fearful thoughts concerning lack, and you cannot allow yourself to be tempted with the loss of a relationship unless you have first went there in your mind.  God instructs us in Philippians 4:8 that “whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on those things.”  Stop thoughts of defeat dead in their tracks by focusing on good things, studying God’s word, and fellowshipping with God!
