Combating the Enemy's Lies

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall you make you free.  John 8:32
 
God has given us His Word to combat the enemy’s lies.  Lies are used to keep people in bondage.  How many times has a person believed that they have messed up too bad or that their future was not bright?  These types of thoughts never originate with God but with Satan himself.  God is always positive.  In fact, God says that “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins” (Isaiah 43:25).  God’s Word also says, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).  At some point, each of us are confronted with lies that originate with the enemy whether they are funneled through other people, social norms, or in our own minds.  Combat those lies by knowing the truth of God’s Word and speaking it out of your mouth!
