And the earth was without form, and void. Genesis 1:2
In life, often there appears to be confusion in our lives right before order appears! In Genesis 1, the Scripture tells us that "the earth was without form, and void." The words "without form" is the word "tohuw" in the Hebrew. One of the meanings of the word "tohuw" is confusion. This suggests that there appeared to be confusion before order was manifested in the creation of the world.
Have you ever been cleaning or even remodeling a room and dug everything out of the drawers or closets or had building materials all around and it looked like a mess? Essentially, there was deconstruction before construction. Chances are, after THE PROCESS was completed though, there was a beautiful finished room or product! Perhaps you are in THE PROCESS of dealing with a wayward child, financial hardships, or a fractured relationship of some sort. God did not focus on the perceived confusion as He created the world but simply called "those things which do not exist as though they did" (Romans 4:17). If you are undergoing a confusing process on today, know that it is only temporary!
