But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

So often we want to see the victories of God manifested in our lives that we rush out and try to bring them to pass in our own strength.  Nonetheless, we must wait on directives and instructions from the Lord.  What soldier rushes out with their weapon and tries to win a battle without instructions from their superior officer?  None, because the soldier realizes that a battle plan is necessary to achieve victory.  2 Timothy 2:4 says that God has chosen us to be soldiers.  Essentially, He is our commanding officer.  Wait on God, and you are sure to see the victory He desires to give you!
