And God saw that it was good.  Genesis 1:12

In this day and age dominated by social media, it is easy to become susceptible to seeking validation from others.  Whether consciously or subconsciously, our sense of self-worth can even feel tied to whether we have an ample number of likes or followers on these social platforms.  The most important validation we can receive is the validation that comes from within however!

During creation, God had no one around to validate the marvelous things He made.  Nonetheless, God said within Himself, "It is good."  The validation God received came from within and not from external approval or sources.  Similarly, after Jesus's baptism, Jesus heard a voice from heaven that stated, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17)!  The Bible does not record that anyone else necessarily heard the voice but Jesus heard it and His approval and validation came from no one but God!

We too are created in the image and likeness of God!  We also can be assured that we are complete and whole whether or not we are receiving the applause and acceptance of people.  Remember that you are complete today regardless of whether anyone affirms you and then you can rest in the validation that comes only from within!
