Already Healed

By whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Notice that today’s Scripture states that we have (past tense) been healed.  That does not only include physical healing, but also emotional healing and wholeness in every area of our lives.  Why are we already healed you may ask?  We are healed because of what Jesus did on the cross over 2,000 years ago.  Not only is going to heaven included in the salvation package, but healing is as well because “he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).  Look at that again.  The chastisement of our peace was upon Him.  You cannot be at peace if you are sick.  We can be at peace and walk in divine health because of what Jesus did on the cross.  When He hung on that cross, He saw the healing of every person that would ever come to accept Him and His sacrifice.  He saw the healing of you and I but we have to receive it!  No wonder Jesus said “it is finished” as He gave up His life on the cross (John 19:30).  Not only was the plan of salvation completed, but healing and anything else we would ever need.  You have already been healed!  Meditate on that fact today and see it on the inside so it can manifest on the outside!
