And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Romans 4:21
Sadly, too many Christians believe the burden is on their shoulders to bring about God's promises in their lives. They try to "live right," sow more financial seeds, or conjure up their own human faith in order to bring about God's promises in His Word or promises He has personally spoken to their heart. These actions lead to frustration, despair, and often condemnation. They lead to condemnation because when the promises do not manifest, we blame ourselves for not praying harder, for being in sin, or falling short of some other religious obligations. However, the Bible is clear that God's yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30). It is also clear that He who has begun a good work in you will continue it (Philippians 1:6). It is not our job to bring God's promises to pass but simply to believe in His ability to bring them to pass. We are to simply rest in His grace and Christ's finished work (John 19:30) on the cross! He is able to bring His promises to pass in your life!
