Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
God does not need our help to bring things to pass in our lives. Our job is simply to believe! Many times in the Gospels, Jesus said “according to your faith be it unto you” (Matthew 9:29). Often we get in trouble by trying to bring the promises of God to pass in our own strength. Negative situations in our lives become worst as we operate in the flesh and try to get involved. That is what happened to Moses in the 20th chapter of Numbers. God told him to speak to the rock to get water to come out of it for the people of Israel but Moses tried to do things in his own strength and struck the rock (Numbers 20:8-11). Moses never got to enter into the Promised Land with the people of Israel as a result of not relying on God and His word but trying to do things in his own strength. In Jeremiah 32:27, God says, “I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” Be still and trust God with your situation or circumstance. Know that as you simply speak His word in faith and trust Him, things are sure to turn around to your advantage!
