The hand of the diligent maketh rich. Proverbs 10:4
Minister Gloria Copeland often says that “in consistency lies power.” There is power in being consistent in doing something. There is power in being consistent with building a business, a workout routine, or spending time with God. Pastor Creflo Dollar has stated that a trickle of water that consistently drips on a rock will eventually erode it over time due to the water’s consistency. Inevitably, those who are consistent will see positive results manifest in their lives. Trials and tribulations often come to hinder us from being consistent. It is hard to be faithful to your ministry for example when your body is aching with pain, it is difficult to focus on building a business when there is not an ample customer base, and it is difficult to spend daily time with God when you are faced with various challenges. Luke 4:16 records in reference to Jesus, “as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.” Jesus exhibited miraculous power as a result of His consistency in prayer, studying the Scriptures, and church attendance. Proverbs 12:24 states that “the hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.” In essence, those who are consistent will rule and those who are inconsistent will be subject to them. If you are trying to build a business, cultivate a relationship, achieve financial success, or get to know God better then be consistent. Additionally, be consistent in prayer, God’s word, and church attendance in order to cultivate your spirit man. In consistency lies the power!
