There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
Once we have a sound revelation of how much God loves us, we will not have any fear in our lives. We won’t fear that we will not get better physically, or that we will go broke financially, that our relationships will fail or that God won’t come through for us. God is love according to 1 John 4:16. It has been said that God does not have love but that He is love. People have love. Sometimes people operate in love and at other times they do not. The love of God is unconditional. The Bible is emphatic that we should be “rooted and grounded in love” and understand “the breadth, and length, and depth, and height and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God” (Ephesians 3:17-19). How do we get rooted in the love of God described in Ephesians 3:17? We get rooted in this love by establishing a personal and intimate relationship with God through prayer and His Word to understand the character and nature of God. Once we are rooted in God’s love, we understand that we can trust Him because His nature is to bless us. Therefore, we don’t have to worry about sickness, financial lack, or that God won’t come through for us. In fact, once you have a deep and intimate revelation that God loves you, you will be filled with the fullness (or blessings) of God described in Ephesians 3:19. There is no need to fear, just get rooted in and trust God’s love for you!
