For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17
So many people today think that God is mad at them for some past mistake they have committed or action they have taken. Often this feeling is the byproduct of their own conscience or feeling a distance in terms of the presence of God. We can not operate based on feelings but what the Word of God says though. God is not imputing our sins to us or holding them against us (Psalms 32:2). In His foreknowledge and before we were ever born, God knew every mistake that we would ever make. Of course that does not give us a license to fall short but it does mean that if we do, we have an advocate with the Father (Jesus Christ). Psalms 86:15 states that God is plenteous in mercy. Christ's sacrifice on the cross allows us to continue in relationship and fellowship with the Father even when we miss it. Consequently, we do not have to run from God when we miss the mark but we can run to Him and know that He is not upset with us. God loves you and if you are feeling that He is distant or withdrawn Himself from you today begin to seek Him through his Word and prayer like never before. Don't allow your conscience or anyone/anything else to condemn you! He is not mad at you and promises that when you seek Him with your whole heart you will find him (Jeremiah 29:13)!
