Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2
As soon as one problem is solved, it seems like another one pops up. You may have been presented with a distraction even on today. The purpose of distractions is to get your eyes off God and His word. Actually, God and His Word are one in the same. The Bible teaches us that “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). So, the purpose of distractions is to take your eyes of God’s word and God Himself. Mark 4:17 indicates that “persecution ariseth for the word’s sake.” Consequently, the purpose of distractions is to steal away the word that has been sown into your heart and to ultimately get your attention off God. The other purpose of distractions is to make your faith falter. Don’t allow your faith or focus on God and His word to falter but beware of distractions.
