According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. Ephesians 1:4
As a born again Believer, when you fall short that is not the real you! You may have fallen short in some action or even by thinking defeating thoughts. Today's Scripture makes it clear that as Christians, we are holy and without blame before God. In fact, the New International Version (NIV) of that Scripture explains that we are blameless in "His sight"! It does not matter how people may perceive you when you fall short or even how you may perceive yourself, God still sees you as holy and blameless because you are in His Son! Ephesians 1:13 explains that we are "sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise." God gave you a new born again Spirit when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and sealed it! In your spirit you are pure and without fault! In fact, the Bible explains that the fruit or overflow of this new spirit is "love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness" and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23). That is the real you! You are loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, gentle, good, faithful, and meek even when you miss the mark! Even when you think negative thoughts, those thoughts are not the real you so don't have to take ownership of condemning thoughts the enemy attempts to send into your mind! Don't beat yourself up and get into condemnation (Romans 8:1) because you may have fallen short in some area of your life. Know that the negative behavior is not the real you and you are blameless before Almighty God!
